BABYMONSTER is a 7-member multinational girl group under YG Entertainment. They officially debuted on April 1, 2024 with their debut EP 《BABYMONS7ER》, making them YG's first girl group in about 7 years since BLACKPINK and their first 7-member group since iKON. The lineup features 3 Korean members (Ahyeon, Rami, Rora), 2 Japanese members (Ruka, Asa), and 2 Thai members (Pharita, Chiquita). The group name BABYMONSTER was originally a candidate name for BLACKPINK, with YG having trademarked it in 2019. Their official fandom name, confirmed on July 27, 2024, is MONSTIEZ — a blend of Mon's (BABYMONSTER) and Ties (close bond).

Was absent from pre-debut activities for health reasons but joined for the full seven-member debut. Rami (Shin Haram, born October 17, 2007, Seoul, South Korea) — Vocalist. Rora (Lee Da-in, born August 14, 2008, South Korea) — Vocalist & visual. Stage name 'Rora' was personally chosen by YG chief producer Yang Hyun-suk, inspired by the aurora. Chiquita (Riracha Phondechaphiphat, born February 17, 2009, Thailand) — Vocalist, dancer & maknae (youngest).

Members averaged 3–6 years of YG training before debut. In 2023, YG unveiled seven potential members through the reality show 《Last Evaluation》. On November 27, 2023, six members released pre-debut single "BATTER UP" without Ahyeon, who was absent due to health reasons. After her recovery, Ahyeon joined and the full seven-member group officially debuted on April 1, 2024 with EP《BABYMONS7ER》. The debut EP sold approximately 401,287 copies on the Hanteo Chart — a record for a K-pop girl group debut album — and title track "SHEESH" became the group's first top-10 entry on the Circle Digital Chart.

MONSTIEZ is a portmanteau of Mon's (BABYMONSTER) and Ties (close relationship), symbolizing the unbreakable bond between the members and their fans. Official lightstick: 'Monbong'. Released November 8, 2024. Designed in the shape of a monster, featuring detachable horns on each side that can be flipped up and down, and illuminates in white or red.
