QWER is a four-member band under Tamago Production that debuted on October 18, 2023 with the single Harmony from Discord. The group's name comes from the Q, W, E, and R keys on a keyboard, which are also commonly used hotkeys in online games such as League of Legends. What sets QWER apart is its formation: members who had built careers as Twitch streamers, a TikTok creator, and a former idol were brought together through a YouTube series called the "QWER Project" to form an actual playing band. Their 2024 single "T.B.H" (Korean title: 고민중독) topped the Billboard Korea Songs chart, marking a rare mainstream breakthrough for a band act in the K-pop scene.

A visual design major and former Twitch streamer, she was trained on bass by members of the band Bolbbalgan4 and cites Red Hot Chili Peppers as an inspiration. 🎤 Hina (Jang Na-young / Jan 30, 2001) — Guitar, Keyboard, Maknae (E) / 172.6 cm · Blood Type O The third member to join. A cosplayer and TikTok creator with over 4 million followers before joining the band. Has expressed a dream of collaborating with aespa. 🎤 Siyeon (Lee Si-yeon / May 16, 2000) — Main Vocal, Guitar (R) / 160 cm · Blood Type A The fourth and final member to join. Was previously a member of Japanese idol group NMB48's Team M from 2021 to 2023, and has experience with a busking dance team.

QWER was formed through "QWER Project," a YouTube series that launched on July 2, 2023, aimed at assembling a band from online personalities. Chodan and Magenta were established Twitch streamers, Hina was a TikTok creator and cosplayer with a large following, and Siyeon was a former member of NMB48 — each already carrying some recognition before joining. Once the project began, Magenta started formal bass training and Hina took up electric guitar. This unconventional formation process, combined with the fact that members actually play their own instruments, generated significant buzz ahead of their official debut. Following their debut single Harmony from Discord (October 18, 2023), the EP MANITO (2024) and its title track "T.B.H" (고민중독) became a massive hit — reaching #1 on the Billboard Korea Songs chart and #117 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart.
