Debut Story

Stray Kids was formed through a survival show of the same name, co-produced by JYP Entertainment and Mnet, which aired from September to December 2017. Ahead of their official debut, the group released a pre-debut mixtape, Mixtape, on January 8, 2018, followed by their official debut EP I Am NOT on March 25, 2018. What sets Stray Kids apart is that the members create much of their own music. 3RACHA — the in-house production unit of Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han — handles most of the group's songwriting and composition, giving them a distinctive musical identity. Building on this foundation, every album from Oddinary (2022) through Karma (2025) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making Stray Kids the first act ever to top the chart with their first eight charted releases.
