About the Group
PLAVE is a five-member virtual boy group under VLAST who debuted on March 12, 2023 with the single album Asterum. The name blends "Play" and the French word "Rêve" (dream), embodying the group's vision of creating new worlds while pursuing their dreams. Unlike traditional K-pop acts, PLAVE's members perform as 3D animated avatars rather than in physical form — yet they are real musicians who write, compose, produce, and choreograph their own music. In March 2024, they became the first virtual idol group to win on a Korean broadcast music show; in February 2025, they became the first virtual idol group to achieve million-seller status with Caligo Pt.1.

Debut Story
PLAVE first introduced themselves to the public on September 15, 2022 through a live broadcast on YouTube and Twitch — immediately establishing themselves as something new: a virtual boy group whose members perform as 3D animated characters.
Despite the virtual presentation, PLAVE are real musicians. The members sing, play instruments, write lyrics, compose music, and choreograph their own performances. Fan interactions happen through the animated avatars, which has created a uniquely intimate and imaginative fandom culture.
After debuting on March 12, 2023, they built steadily on the charts. In March 2024, they became the first virtual idol group to win first place on Korean broadcast music programs (Show Champion and Show! Music Core). The following month, they held their first solo concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul. In February 2025, Caligo Pt.1 crossed one million copies sold — making PLAVE the first virtual idol group to achieve million-seller status in K-pop.
